Welcome to the website of the Austria Pakistan Society (APS)- Österreichisch Pakistanische Gesellschaft (OePG)! This site will inform you about the objectives and activities of the Society and give you some basic facts about Pakistan and its relations with Austria.

The Austria Pakistan Society was founded in 1976 with a view to cultivating the cultural and scientific contacts of Austria with Pakistan and to further the knowledge of the wider public about the politics, economy and social system of Pakistan.

Austria contributed to the development of a soft tourism in Pakistan (Swat Valley) for many years. Friendly relations have developed between Austrian and Pakistan mountaineers. Several members of the Austro-Pakistan Society have successfully engaged in cooperation projects in the educational and humanitarian sector and in the promotion of sport activities in Pakistan.
